What is National Nutrition Month?

National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the go to source for scientifically-based food and nutrition information. Each March, the Academy creates a nutrition focused theme that helps highlight the importance of making better food choices. This year’s theme is Put Your Best Fork Forward.

What does Put Your Best Fork Forward Mean?

Put Your Best Fork Forward is meant to be a reminder that each of us holds the tool to make healthier food and lifestyle choices and that making small changes over time can help improve your overall health in the long run.
